Xante Announces Breakthrough Dye Sublimation Toner

Press release from the issuing company

MOBILE, Ala.--Nov. 15, 2001-- XANTE CORPORATION is expanding the color laser market with the introduction of revolutionary dye sublimation toners for vibrant color transfers to use on specialty materials such as textiles, awards/plaques, coffee mugs, ceramics, and much more. This new process distinguishes the Xante Colour ScreenWriter as the only color laser printer on the market today capable of printing 1200 dpi color proofs, heat transfers, positive film for screenprinting, and now dye sublimation transfers. Designed for screen printers, trophy shops, awards and engraving shops, and specialty businesses, Xante's new dye sublimation toners along with the Xante ColourLaser and Colour ScreenWriter offer the speed, high quality, and color management that these professionals require for printing quality, quick turnaround specialty items. Through extensive testing, Xante also has developed specific printer profiles to be used with particular sublimatable items to ensure optimum results. For dye-sub transfers, users simply print a mirror image on regular laser media using Xante's ColourLaser or Colour ScreenWriter containing Xante's dye sublimation toner. The output is then placed on a sublimatable material such as approved coffee mugs, ceramics, polyester-based fabrics, etc. Using a heat press, the image and material is exposed to high temperatures and pressure which cause the toner to sublimate. This process allows the image to be dyed on to the material. Users can switch between regular and dye-sub toners for different jobs as needed. "Xante's new dye sublimation toner is the ideal solution for specialty business professionals who need an affordable alternative for quick turnaround customization,'' said Robert C. Ross, Jr., Xante's founder and CEO. "This technology, based on our strategic relationship with Sawgrass Systems, Inc., allows users to print incredible, vibrant transfers to be used on mugs, polyester-based t-shirts, mouse pads, and much more. Although the dye sublimation process itself has been available on specially dedicated machines for years, Xante is the first printer manufacturer to combine this breakthrough technology with the high quality, versatility, and consistency of a laser device. Users can now take advantage of high resolution, high speed, and color management to produce quality, long-lasting laser sublimation transfers with fast, high-profit results.'' Xante's dye sublimation toners are currently available for use with the Xante ColourLaser or Colour ScreenWriter direct from Xante and from authorized resellers worldwide.
