ITEC Announces Release 4.0 of ColorBlind Professional for Windows

Press release from the issuing company

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 9 -- Imaging Technologies Corporation, a leading developer of color management software, today announced the release of ColorBlind Professional 4.0 for Windows. ColorBlind software products are sold as stand-alone products or bundled with color management and application training at the ITEC ColorBlind Academy. ColorBlind Professional, an advanced ICC profiling software, is targeted at color professionals who demand accurate color and complete control over all aspects of a digital color workflow. Typical users include service bureaus, newspapers, digital pre-press and design studios. ColorBlind Professional 4.0 includes several enhancements from previous versions for Windows. Hexachrome support allows users of inkjet printers that provide 6 or more colors to take advantage of ColorBlind's powerful color-correction and image enhancement applications, including image editing via attached ICC profiles without affecting the actual raw data. In addition to support of a growing library of imaging devices, ColorBlind Professional 4.0 allows for printing directly from the application to a Postscript printer or RIP (controller), and Matrix TRC files (in edit mode). "These new features,'' said Brian Bonar, ITEC CEO, "have been added as a direct result of feedback from ITEC customers, channel partners and industry consultants.'' ColorBlind is the first software to be compatible with Coloreal color matching technology invented by WayTech Development. Coloreal provides color accuracy from the Internet to the personal computer. ColorBlind Professional 4.0 will provide Coloreal-enabled web sites with associated color management tools. ITEC also provides color management software and color management / application training at bundled prices. ITEC's ColorBlind Academy(TM) offers certification programs for users, trainers and resellers. These programs cover color management theory and graphic programs in real world applications. ColorBlind Professional software is bundled with a 2-day application-training program or a 3-day color management and application-training series.
