Philippe Govart Named New Marketing Manager for Indigo France

Press release from the issuing company

Maastricht, The Netherlands, November 7, 2001 –  Indigo Europe has appointed Philippe Govart as Marketing Manager for Indigo France. A native of Lille, he comes to Indigo from Domino ink jet printing systems where he held the same position. In his new post with Indigo, Philippe Govart aims to reposition attitudes towards commercial digital printing in the French market. “One of my tasks will be to increase the confidence of commercial printers in the ability and potential of digital printing,” says Philippe Govart. “Apart from promoting Indigo to individual companies, I want to enhance the image of digital print in the media,” he explains. “The versatility of digital print is not yet recognized as part of the concept of  ‘new media’ and there are a lot of sectors which have not yet begun to benefit from its abilities. “I will also be working with existing Indigo customers to maximize their performance through a range of activities including direct support and workshops,” Philippe Govart explains. “It’s important to the success of Indigo and its customers that they can fully capitalize on the opportunities of digital printing – not just short, on-demand runs, but the full potential of variable data printing and Digital Offset Colour. This includes creative use of their presses’ capability to print on a wide range of substrates and carry out versioning, and full-colour personalization – all powerful tools for adding value to products and marketing materials.” Philippe Govart will be able to make use of the refurbished demonstration suite at Indigo France’s offices in Roissy, located to the north of Paris near Charles de Gaulle Airport. “Currently, Indigo’s new Platinum digital press can be seen running in the demonstration suite. By visiting us, our customers will be assured that this new press can deliver an exceptional quality of printing,” Philippe Govart concludes. Commenting on the appointment, Erwin Busselot, European Marketing Director for Indigo says, “The French market holds some promising opportunities. In order to address them we’ll need some creative thinking in sales and marketing. Indigo presses are well respected by our customers, but the message needs spreading further also with the customers’ of our customers. I am very pleased that we have Philippe on board and that he has identified this aspect for special attention.”
