Basler Zeitung Orders KBA Commander

Thursday, November 08, 2001

Press release from the issuing company

Basler Zeitung, headquarters of the Basler media group, is planning to transfer production of its title daily (circulation 120,000 copies) and 29 other newspaper titles to two KBA Commander presses slated to come on stream at the end of 2003. The decision in favour of the 80- and 64-page satellite presses was made at Ifra Expo in Geneva. Basler Zeitung is in good company: at the same fair Gannett, the biggest newspaper group in the USA, signed a contract with KBA for a multi-unit Colora press line.
