Press release from the issuing company

KEHL, GERMANY -- November 6, 2001 -- Dalim Software, Kehl, Germany has commenced shipments of version 4.5 of its powerful LiTHO layout and TWiST workflow pre-press software technologies. Launched at Print 01 in Chicago in September, version 4.5 adds new file formats, tools, filters and functionality to LiTHO and TWiST and maintains DALiM Software's reputation for the utmost flexibility of production while preserving seamless compatibility with legacy file formats and systems. DALiM TWiST is a powerful, digital workflow software based on modular tools that can rapidly be configured into an almost infinite variety of automatic processing paths. DALiM LiTHO is a fully integrated layout and retouching software that provides image editing, page assembly and PDF or PostScript editing tools. A reduced feature-set version of LiTHO is included with all new versions of TWiST. A new pricing structure for LiTHO on Linux is also available now. "Multi-processor PC-based hardware running Linux exceeds the processing requirements of LiTHO but at a lower price point," says Gee Ranasinha, Director of Marketing at DALiM Software. "By exploiting the fantastic performance and reduced Total Cost of Ownership of Linux, we maintain our position as a leading supplier of powerful, scalable, device-independent solutions." The server-based TWiST workflow software is available on Sun or SGI hardware as well as PC/Linux, as enterprise-level users need the high capacity file serving, data throughput and fail-safe operations of the high-end systems.
