International Paper and Digimarc Partner to Make Packaging Interactive

TUALATIN, Ore.-Nov. 1, 2001-- Digimarc Corp., the world leader in digital watermarking solutions, today announced that it has entered into a licensing agreement with Shorewood Packaging, a consumer packaging business of International Paper.
Under the agreement, International Paper will offer its consumer packaging customers the ability to enable product packaging and printed promotions with Digimarc MediaBridge(TM) technology. When shown to a kiosk or Web camera equipped with Digimarc software, a digitally watermarked package will instantly link to an online destination offering cross- or up-selling opportunities, special promotions, limited offers or product information.
