Press release from the issuing company

ORLANDO, Fla. - Xplor - Oct. 30, 2001-- Xerox Corporation has added six specialty products to its portfolio of media applications, expanding the types of printing projects that can be run on high-quality digital printers and presses and therefore allowing commercial print and in-plant printers to offer a greater range of products to their customers. The Xerox media products for digital printers include: -- Xerox 6-Up CD Labels on an 11" x 17'' sheet, cutting production costs and improving efficiency since six labels can be printed at one time. -- Xerox Digital Book Cover 160, a coated cloth media for economical short-run, on-demand customizable book covers, posters and art reproductions. -- Xerox DuraDocuments, a tear-, weather- and stain-resistant laminated paper for printing menus, labels, ID cards and outdoor signs. -- Xerox Pressure Seal Self-Mailers for one-step printing, finishing and mailing of customer checks and statements that can contain variable data. In addition, Xerox announced two other media products: -- Xerox DocuPrint Roll Stock for Xerox DocuPrint 700 and 1000 continuous-feed printers, designed to minimize dust emissions during high-speed printing, improving machine uptime and productivity. -- Xerox Customized Electronic Media (Compact Disc-Recordable [CD-R] and Compact Disc-ReWritable (CD-RW) products) that can be economically custom-printed with a company's name or logo. The special-purpose media can be run through any monochrome or color digital printers and presses, such as the Xerox DocuColor 2045 and 2060 Digital Production Presses, or the Xerox DocuTech and DocuPrint family of monochrome products. All Xerox paper and specialty products are designed for optimal performance in the world of digital color and on-demand printing. The company will showcase these products during the Xplor exhibit in Orlando this week. Specialty media applications products are available immediately and may be ordered directly from Xerox by calling 800-822-2200.
