Northwest Coatings: Growing Interest in UV/EB PSAs

Monday, October 29, 2001

Press release from the issuing company

Oak Creek, Wisconsin: Northwest Coatings Corp. is pleased to report that the company continues to make excellent improvements in UV/EB curable PSA’s in response to the growing interest in this product line for the printing, packaging and converting markets. Northwest Coatings offers PSA’s with viscosities ranging from 750 to more than 5000 centipoise. Physical properties have included >5 pounds/inch peel strength, >5 pounds/square inch loop tack and >50 hours room temperature shear. The driving force behind the interest in UV/EB PSA’s appears to be the continued interest in having the ability to apply and cure the adhesives in-line on existing equipment. Northwest Coatings manufactures UV/EB curable and water base coatings and adhesives for the printing and converting markets, as well as other industrial applications
