PODi Announces Additional Keynote Speakers for 2009 AppForum

Wednesday, September 24, 2008

Press release from the issuing company

Rochester, NY - September 23, 2008 - PODi, the Digital Printing Initiative, announced today that Mike Lyman, Manager of Online Communications at YRC Worldwide, a Fortune 500 company and one of the largest transportation service providers in the world, and Robert Durham, President and CEO of HKM Direct Market Communications will be keynote speakers at the 2009 AppForum, January 19 - 21 in Las Vegas at the Rio Hotel & Casino.

Web-to-print solutions are one of the most useful and profitable new digital applications for both marketers and service providers. The AppForum's featured keynote will help de-mystify the process of developing a system and answer the questions many people have about Web-to-print.

Mr. Durham will detail the solution his company created in partnership with Mr. Lyman. "We started small, but built in the ability to grow and keep growing," Durham says. "It currently supports 1,800 users and will soon be expanded for use by over 6,000 worldwide." Adds Mr. Lyman, "YRC Worldwide supports a large portfolio of successful brands. It's a huge challenge to manage all of them. You need centralized collateral control and comprehensive design, printing and fulfillment services, which is exactly what we have developed with our partners."

Their keynote presentation will address:
- How common business problems, like controlling multiple brands, can be solved by Web-to-print and digital printing technology
- How to design a system that is scaleable as a company grows
- What's required to support a successful global implementation
- Where to start and how to expand a winning relationship with the customer

Lyman and Durham will explain the workings of the fulfillment center, how users from each operating company can create personalized brochures, how virtual selling solutions assist in the design and implementation of print and email campaigns, and how digital print on demand allows the rapid creation of sales collateral. They'll also explore the new opportunities that have emerged based on the success of this system.
