Pace Systems: Wireless Access to Print Business Data From Any Location

Press release from the issuing company

Jacksonville, Florida, October 2001—Pace Systems, a leading developer of business management software for the printing industry, showed attendees at PRINT 01 how they can access their print business information from any location at any time, without the necessity of logging on to a conventional computer. The Pace Systems Wireless Access Module can be used in either of two modes. In the printing plant, the wireless device can communicate using a base transmitter. For remote operation, the device can utilize a conventional cellular account to access and transmit data. The Pace Systems Wireless Access Module permits production managers, administrative personnel, and outside sales personnel to access information instantly, regardless of their whereabouts. The Pace Systems Wireless Access Module works in conjunction with the latest Pace software, and utilizes the ePace browser-based format also introduced at PRINT 01. In announcing the innovative product, Pace Systems president Jay Farr commented: "In today’s fast paced business environment, effective management requires that key personnel remain mobile while retaining access to complete business information. The Pace Systems Wireless Access Module satisfies those requirements, ensuring that critical data is available anywhere in the printing plant. Customer who have seen beta versions of the Pace Systems Wireless Access Module are unilaterally enthusiastic about the ability to access data while on the go."
