The new Komori press comes with the highest level of automation available from Komori.  Some of these features include Komori’s fully Automatic Plate Loading system, PDC-S close-looped colour control, fully automatic press wash-up, KHS-AI High Speed Inking with Artificial Intelligence self-learning function, Inker declutch on all units and all of this on an 18-inch raised press.

Incorporated in 1920, Jones Packaging is a privately held, fourth generation controlled and managed family business.  The company began as a supplier to the Canadian pharmacy market and then grew to serve the needs of an expanding pharmaceutical and consumer packaged goods industries.  Jones focuses on building clients’ brand equity through packaging components of folding cartons, pressure sensitive labels, inserts, and full body shrink sleeves.

Jones Packaging and Komori share the same environmental concerns going forward and the Komori press is certainly built with the environment in mind - from its blanket and roller washers that emit zero wash-up solvents to the KHS-AI inking that allows for less waste sheets being used on every job. The KHS-AI can prove to save up to one thousand trees per year through reduced waste alone.  Furthermore, the drying equipment features the highest level of UV technology with the lowest VOC emission rate.

The decision to purchase the highly equipped Komori press underscores Jones Packaging’s commitment to its customers to deliver the highest quality high end pharmaceutical and consumer brand packaging in the industry while continuing to be the leader in the preservation of the environment.
