6000th EverSmart Scanner Sold

Press release from the issuing company

BEDFORD, MA -- October 10, 2001 -- CreoScitex, a division of Creo Products Inc. (NASDAQ: CREO; TSE: CRE), will install its 6000th EverSmart(tm) scanner this month. This milestone is believed to mark the largest number of any single brand of scanner sold in the professional-quality category. In celebration of this achievement, CreoScitex is donating an EverSmart(tm) Select scanner -- the newest model in the popular EverSmart line -- to the Photography and Related Media program of the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York. Established in 1947, the School of Visual Arts is a leader and innovator in the education of creative professionals, counting many prominent artists and designers among its faculty members over the years. Charles Traub, Chairperson of the schools' Photography and Related Media Program, noted, "A high-quality professional scanner will be an important asset for us, increasing the quality of the projects our students produce. Until now, not having easy access to a high-performance scanner has hindered their desire to pursue digital output. The EverSmart Select scanner will help to change this."
