iMakeNews Selects Webprint for Internet Printing Solution

Press release from the issuing company

San Bruno, CA October 5, 2001: Webprint, Inc., a software infrastructure solutions provider for on-demand printers, and iMakeNews, an application service provider (ASP) focused exclusively on creating and distributing online newsletters, today announced that iMakeNews has selected Webprint to provide privately-branded Internet printing solutions for their customers' newsletter needs. The resulting partnership gives iMakeNews' customers the ability to easily produce digitally printed versions of their online newsletters created with the iMakeNews service, without the need to redesign or reformat. Customers simply download a privately-branded Internet print driver directly from the iMakeNews Web site. This allows them to launch the Webprint Internet printing service and print to any one of Webprint's print partners, including Sir Speedy and PIP Printing. Customers can then tap a full array of digital printing services, including choice of paper color, covers, and binding options-all from the comfort of their home or office. "A large number of our customers are interested in distributing their newsletters in printed form in addition to the electronic versions created with iMakeNews," said Jeffrey Mesnik, vice president of sales and marketing at iMakeNews. "While we looked at a number of solutions, Webprint's unique approach to creating "print-ready" Adobe PDF files on the customer's computer, combined with the ability to be proofed online, assures that the newsletter they've created will be printed as they intended."
