By creating partnerships with leading vendors of variable information (VI) products, each with its own unique advantages, the program provides the broadest array of market-ready solutions for personalized data color printing. With a growing number of partner companies, some already active in the market and others currently in various stages of development, CreoScitex is expanding into new market segments with additional authoring tools and products. Under the current program, CreoScitex and its partners are co-developing and integrating color VI solutions based on CreoScitex Spire(tm) color servers, which support CreoScitex Variable Print Specification language. CreoScitex also provides comprehensive support for Xerox VIPP format and is very active in the development of the new PPML standard format. Exstream Software Inc. of Lexington, Kentucky and Elixir Technologies Corporation of Ventura, California recently completed their Variable Print Specification implementation with CreoScitex. They join other CreoScitex partners including Atlas, Document Sciences, GMC Software Technology Group, Pageflex, Printsoft, and XMPiE. CreoScitex was demonstrating the Spire color server driving the Xerox DocuColor 2060 digital press at Print '01 and attendees could see the Spire driving both the DocuColor 2060 and Xerox's new digital production press at Xerox booth.
