ePublish Store Web Site Launched For Electronic Publishing Professionals

Press release from the issuing company

Oct 03, 2001-- BinaryThing, the ePublishing Network, today announced the launch of its ePublish Store Web site, the brand-new online software store for print and Web publishing professionals. ePublish Store opens with more than 250 products and 45 companies, and lets visitors instantly purchase and download any of the tools listed. The store has grown from the immense popularity of the Planet PDF Store--which receives more than 13,000 downloads each month and almost 250,000 page impressions--and at launch opens with a host of new tools in a host of new categories. "Print and Web publishers are always searching for new software tools--to help speed up their work or to allow them to do creative things not possible before--but there has never been a place online that has brought all this together," said Andrew Robinson, VP of Sales, ePublish Store. "Whether you're publishing for the Web, preparing an eBook, or refining your prepress workflow, we aim to provide a one-stop-shop that caters for all of your electronic publishing needs." Shopping at the new store, visitors can utilize the improved search and categorization, read and add reviews on products for other users, try demonstration versions before purchasing products and manage their account history, downloads and subscriptions. "Our regular Planet PDF Store customers will notice the site improvements immediately and over the coming weeks will see an exciting range of new products come, including forms, Web and XML editing tools, Quark XTensions, and eBook publishing and reading software," said Karl De Abrew, CEO of BinaryThing. "Not only are we selling more products in more categories than ever before, our Web site redesign makes it much easier to identify the products users need." By selling through the store, vendors can enjoy 75 percent of each sale though the site, receive monthly payments for all product sales and use exposure to BinaryThing's established, professional online user base to find customers. About BinaryThing BinaryThing runs a network of related sites dedicated to electronic publishing--the ePublish Network. Online it combines news, articles and discussion forums with its ePublish Store, to bring a complete online solution for professional users. Offline the team evangelizes the future of ePublishing through its promotion and sponsorship of events and seminars like Seybold Seminars, PDF Conference 2001, XML Asia/Pacific and Open Publish 2001. At last count the network had about 60,000 newsletter subscribers, almost 10,000 discussion forum members and received 13,000+ software downloads and 1.3 million+ page impressions a month.
