NUR Sets Up Direc Sales Channel for Consumables in the Americas

Press release from the issuing company

Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium; October 1, 2001 - NUR Media Solutions (NMS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of NUR Macroprinters Ltd. (Nasdaq: NURM), today announced that it has taken over responsibility for direct sales of all NUR consumables, including both inks and substrates in all North, Central and South American countries. Prior to the change, NUR Media Solutions supplied consumables to the American market but full responsibility for all sales rested with the NUR America sales force. Beginning today, NUR Media Solutions will operate its own dedicated sales force in the Americas, working more closely with customers to provide the substrates and inks they require to help them obtain the optimum results from their wide-format and superwide digital printing systems. In addition to supplying consumables to NUR equipment users, NMS will sell to companies that have recognized the improved quality characteristics of NUR substrates in conjunction with other manufacturers` equipment. NUR Media Solutions is also setting up a dedicated consumables telephone hotline for customers in North America at 1-800-289-3822. Customers are invited to call for a range of advice on issues relating to consumables usage. The NMS sales staff consists of fully trained specialists with detailed product knowledge enabling them to consult with customers about the most appropriate combination of consumables for a wide range of digital printing applications. Customers will continue to benefit from the same high levels of service from NUR Media Solutions that they have always received from NUR America. NMS will also continue to work with existing channel partners, ensuring that the transition to the new arrangement is as smooth as possible. Explaining the change, Eran Taus, Managing Director of NUR Media Solutions, comments: "Selling consumables requires a different culture and a different business model from capital equipment sales and we believe that this new approach more closely meets our customers` requirements, both now and into the future. NUR Media Solutions will take responsibility for all logistics and administration, as well as sales, so that we can forge closer links with our customers, improving communication, service and support," he adds. "The market is changing rapidly," he continues, "and it is vital that we continue to provide the levels of service demanded by our customers."
