Xinet Ships FullPress v11.0 and WebNative v4.0

Press release from the issuing company

Berkeley, CA (September 25, 2001) - Xinet, Inc. today announced the release of FullPress version 11.0 and WebNative version 4.0, enabling PDF in all types of production systems and providing 24-hour access to production servers via the Internet. The releases will be featured at the Seybold San Francisco show, Booth # 3123, at Moscone Center from September 25 to September 27, 2001. Founded in 1991, Xinet is the leading developer of prepress networking software. The world's largest printers, ad agencies, publishers, magazines and prepress shops use Xinet's FullPress and WebNative software to manage assets and streamline production workflows. FullPress removes prepress and networking bottlenecks to achieve more efficient and profitable production. WebNative dramatically shortens job turnaround time by allowing easy, multi-site collaboration via the Internet. FullPress version 11.0, the industry's leading prepress server package, includes new supported file formats, new vector image support, as well as image replacement options which allow you to build workflows that were not possible before. FullPress 11.0 builds on Xinet's proven server technology by enabling PDF files of all kinds to be used as traditional image formats. FullPress 11.0 produces low-res FPOs with previews for any PDF file, allowing use of PDFs without creating an EPS page from the file or manipulating the data. When a user spools a file to the server, FullPress resolves the FPO links, finds the PDFs on the server and inserts them into the PostScript stream, which can be fed to any Level 1, 2 or 3 RIP. As with other FullPress FPOs, all attributes within the native format and changes made during production appear in final output.
