Webprint Announces New Server Platform and Client-Side Driver Products

Press release from the issuing company

San Bruno, CA - September 25, 2001: Webprint, Inc., a software infrastructure solutions provider for on-demand printers, today announced the availability of their next generation server platform and client-side products. The company's latest product release allows printers to create customized instances of the Webprint solution for their national accounts. In addition, this new release also provides a dynamic pricing option that automatically updates the cost to the print buyer as they enter job specifications, as well as extended production choices. Printers can now offer a consistent user interface, workflow, and pricing system combined with flexible options based on customer preferences. "Many of our existing print partners offer national account programs to corporations, non-profits and centers of higher education," said Jeremy Smith, vice president of business development at Webprint. "By providing printers with the enabling tools to develop co-branded national accounts, our partners such as Sir Speedy, PIP Printing, and Office Depot can quickly and easily offer consistent service, quality, and pricing to their top customers." Adobe Acrobat 5.0 Support As part of this product release, Webprint's print driver client application now supports Adobe® Acrobat® 5.0. By creating the Adobe PDF at the client's computer, before they submit the document for printing, Webprint guarantees that the file submitted will be "print-ready" with all fonts, formatting, and embedded graphics preserved.
