Global Graphics Hardware Launches New ScanXact II Software

Press release from the issuing company

Print '01, Chicago; Sept. 6, 2001 — Global Graphics Hardware, a division of Global Graphics (Nasdaq Europe: GLGR, Euronext: GLOG), today announces the US launch of its new, ICC compatible, intuitive color conversion and sharpening scanner interface, the ICG ScanXact II, here in Booth # 7105 at Print '01. ScanXact II offers full ICC compatibility and the ability to open and process third party RGB TIFF images. It includes the full feature set of the original ScanXact software with the added facility to import ICC input, output and monitor profiles and interactively view and edit images with the profiles applied. ScanXact II comes installed on both the ICG 370HS and the ICG 370S vertical drum scanners which can be seen operating in the Global Graphics booth. The 370HS vertical scanner will demonstrate its ability to copydot scan a typical A4 film in 10 minutes. ScanXact II – ICC Color Management is integrated using Apple's proven ColorSync engine. ICC working allows you to view and adjust images within the color space determined by the selected input, output and display profiles. The scanner input profile can be edited to translate corrections made for an image, saving it to use for quicker setup if similar images are encountered again. The ICG 370HS – this is the latest high-end vertical drum scanner to be launched by Global Graphics. Designed with the color professional in mind, the 370HS combines flatbed ease-of-use with unrivaled drum scanner quality. High productivity is achieved through enhanced data handling and background scanning. The ICG 370S – this is Global Graphics' popular cost-effective solution for lower productivity environments where quality is the key issue. The ICG 370S supports all of the features of the 370HS but without the enhanced data handling capability.
