HOUSTON--Sept. 18, 2001--Consolidated Graphics, Inc. today announced the signing of a letter of intent to acquire the American Lithographers, Inc. division of Smurfit Packaging Corporation, a subsidiary of Jefferson Smurfit Group, plc. Joe R. Davis, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Consolidated Graphics, commented, "We are pleased to expand our presence in California with the addition of one of the state's top web and sheet-fed printers with facilities in both Hayward and Sacramento.''
