SGIA Board Cancels Expo Due to Attack

Press release from the issuing company

Because of the tragic events that took place in the United States on Tuesday, September 11 and the uncertainty of air travel being available to our exhibitors and attendees next week, the Board of Directors of the Screenprinting & Graphic Imaging Association has decided to cancel all activities associated with the SGIA 2001 Convention and Exposition. SGIA will soon be sending additional information concerning any registration payments you have made for the convention. If appropriate, be sure to cancel your airline, automobile rental, and hotel reservations. If you made your hotel reservation via our housing service - Ambassadors Services Group - those reservations have already been cancelled. However, if you made hotel reservations on a direct basis or via a travel agent, you will need to activate cancellation for your company. Many commercial airlines are now making full refunds for reservations made through September 25th. Also, we would appreciate your help in spreading the word that the convention has been cancelled. For all of us, our thoughts are with the victims of this terrible tragedy.
