(NYSE: IMN) today introduced its new Matchprint Digital Halftone GT Proofing System with GAMUTec Technology the third generation of its flagship Matchprint Digital Halftone Proofing product -- featuring enhanced colors that deliver a broader color gamut, improving correlation to customer targets; durable materials for easier handling and less waste; transfer capability to more customer stocks than ever before; and benchmark performance in stochastic screening. Over one year in development, the new and improved proofing system delivers GAMUTec (GT) Technology, a proprietary and exclusive media, software and services solution, that enables the proofing system to accurately simulate a customer's unique color target. Introduced in 1998, Imation Matchprint Digital Halftone Proofing Systems have demonstrated consistency in hundreds of production workflows worldwide. A thermal system that images proofs using the same RIP that images thermal plates, Matchprint Digital Halftone proofing is designed to bring to digital workflows the consistency and accuracy of film-based Imation Matchprint proofs.
