Pageflex Showcases Dynamic Composition Tools at Print 01

Press release from the issuing company

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--Sept. 5, 2001--Pageflex, Inc. will be demonstrating its variable data composition technologies at Print 01 in Chicago's McCormick Place. Held every four years, Print 01 is the largest US-based International trade show for the graphic arts industry. Pageflex will demonstrate the following products. * Pageflex(TM) Mpower(TM) 3.0, the next generation of its award-winning personalization and customization software. Only recently announced, Pageflex Mpower 3.0 comes packed with a host of features that set a new standard of quality for variable data publishing and make it easier than ever to get Web-to-Print projects up and running. * Pageflex Persona(TM), the easy-to-use solution for variable publishing on the desktop. Persona includes many of the same features as Pageflex Mpower, including the unique "flex'' features, for producing high-quality printed output. * Pageflex .EDIT(TM), the first real-time, browser-based document editor. .EDIT turns an Internet browser into a sophisticated desktop publishing tool. Print 01 will be the first public showing of this hot new technology. * A sneak preview of a new scaleable, enterprise-level product, code-named "Park Street.'' Built on the same NuDoc(TM) composition engine as Pageflex Mpower, Park Street will extend Pageflex's publishing product line. Park Street promises to deliver a scaleable solution for high traffic, Web-to-print projects. Pageflex will be appearing in two booths courtesy of its partners, Xerox and Indigo. In the Indigo booth, #2129, Pageflex will have live demonstrations of their full product line. As part of the PPML Tour organized by the Print On Demand Initiative (see www.podi.org), Pageflex will send live Personalized Print Markup Language (PPML) output from Persona to Indigo's digital presses. Pageflex is a member of PODi and was instrumental in the development of PPML. In the Xerox Variable Imaging Learning Zone (booth #8805), Pageflex will host two training classes for Pageflex Persona. In cooperation with Xerox, one class will focus on using Persona for outputting Creo/Scitex VPS. In cooperation with Electronics for Imaging (EFI), another class will focus on using Persona--Fiery Version to create PPML output for EFI's industry-leading Fiery technology. In addition, Xerox will be giving a wireless demonstration of a Web-to-print project using the customization capabilities of Pageflex Mpower. "We are excited about appearing at Print 01 in cooperation with our partners,'' said Sang Lee, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Pageflex. "The many demonstrations we have prepared showcase the high quality of our variable composition engine across a wide variety of output formats. Our .EDIT technology is a real break-through product, and Print 01 is the perfect arena to show how printers can expand their web-based services.''
