Friday, September 19, 2008

Press release from the issuing company

Norwell, MA, USA (September 17, 2008) – GMG Americas, the US-based office of GMG, supplier of high-end color management and proofing solutions, announces management changes in its organization to further improve customers and reseller support. Chris Schowalter has been promoted to Western Region Channel Manager while Kevin Rowe has been promoted to Manager, Technical Services.

Chris Schowalter to serve GMG channel partners and customers in Western U.S.

Chris Schowalter, who previously served for four years as Manager, Technical Services at GMG headquarters and as a member of the product development team with GMG corporate headquarters in Tuebingen, Germany, will now be based in San Francisco, California as the company's Western Region General Manager.

In his new position, Schowalter's technical expertise will enable him to better assist resellers, manage key accounts, and represent GMG at industry events. His territory includes the Rockies, Texas and everything west, including Alaska and Hawaii. Jim Summers, President, GMG Americas notes, "The West Coast is geographically disconnected from the East Coast, and certainly from Germany.  Customers require local, in-depth industry and technical knowledge to support their color management and proofing system decisions.  Chris' dedication, technical expertise, industry knowledge, and experience with the GMG product lines are ideally suited to our expanding client base throughout the Western U.S."

Kevin Rowe leads support and technical services team

Kevin Rowe has transitioned to the Technical Services Manager at GMG Americas' headquarters. Rowe will maintain GMG's reputation for excellent product support of its color management and proofing solutions.

After nearly two decades gaining expertise in workflows and color management, Kevin joined GMG Americas' support team as a Color and Workflow Specialist in 2006, honing his talent for client support, handling customer and dealer certification trainings, installations, and working with product development.

As Manager, Technical Services, Rowe will oversee GMG Americas' technical services team and administer support, training and certification programs.  In addition, in his new role he will serve major accounts, and implement new training curricula for all new software.  Rowe's top priority will be to ensure that GMG

Americas continues to receive the outstanding feedback for excellence in customer support.

"Kevin has demonstrated an exceptional knowledge of GMG products, and color management in general. He has built a great rapport with our technical partners and customers," remarks Jim Summers, President, GMG Americas. "His technical expertise will enable us to expand service programs, while his management style will help continue prompt, professional support."
