Xerox Phaser 7700 Color Printer Wins PC Magazine Award

Press release from the issuing company

LAS VEGAS--Nov. 13, 2001--Xerox Corporation's Phaser 7700 color laser printer was honored by PC Magazine at the 18th annual Technical Excellence Awards ceremony held yesterday at Fall Comdex 2001. The Phaser 7700 received a Technical Excellence Award for its 22 page-per-minute print speed and photo-quality images. The printer previously received a five-out-of-five rating from the publication. To be considered for a Technical Excellence Award, PC Magazine says a product must make a "revolutionary breakthrough that takes technology to a level beyond what was conceived possible just a few short years ago.'' As one of the industry's first tabloid single pass color laser printers brought to market, the Phaser 7700 meets the innovation standards that the publication sought. Several of the printer's advancements are a result of single pass laser technology, which enables the printer to deposit all toner colors on the paper in one pass, rather than the four passes required by traditional color laser printers. "With the combination of speed and superior image quality, the Phaser 7700 meets the demanding requirements of the graphics professional, as well as any office user,'' said Jim Miller, president, Xerox Office Printing Business. "This award from PC Magazine further demonstrates Xerox's leadership in network color printing.'' The Phaser 7700 is available through resellers and dealers at an estimated retail price of $6,999. It comes with one-year onsite service and the Xerox Total Satisfaction Guarantee. In addition, Xerox offers toll-free customer support at 800-835-6100 and www.xerox.com/officeprinting.
