Paperless Office a Step Closer With FormScape DocsOnline

Press release from the issuing company

MORRISVILLE, N.C.--Nov. 12, 2001-- FormScape, a provider of software to help companies customize, distribute and manage business documents announces the newest version of FormScape DocsOnline, version 1.1. The product enables easy and secure access to extract electronic versions of original documents generated by disparate computer systems. DocsOnline is a central, document repository and directory, maintaining documents that are created or managed by FormScape's advanced content transformation system. Through a web browser, over intranet networks or the Internet, documents are easily tracked, retrieved, displayed and delivered by staff, management, suppliers and customers anytime, in read-only formats such as PDF, HTML, TIFF, or JPEG. Document content from existing business processes can also be automatically retrieved and targeted for specific uses enabling more efficient forms of customer service and internal communication. TriCom Funding, an early adopter of FormScape DocsOnline 1.1, is implementing DocsOnline to enhance its customer service functions efficiency and streamline internal processes. TriCom, a financial services company serving the staffing industry, will use DocsOnline to provide its customers access to invoices and time-sensitive reports, such as accounts receivable aging reports. Tricom's customers will be able to access their reports when they most need the information instead of calling for a manual update or waiting for a weekly mailing. "DocsOnline will empower us to provide the most current information to our customers in an extremely efficient environment that saves us time and better serves our customers,'' said Julie Ann Blazei, Chief Operating Officer for TriCom Funding. Saving staff time hunting for documents and reports is a key cost savings for any organization. Another advantage is a reduced demand on printing resources. Self service access to documents means a reduced workload on central document print and distribution facilities, and means users only print documents they need. "DocsOnline makes original documents readily available in electronic format for enterprise and eBusiness users. This is a powerful enhancement to FormScape's document management system. It brings the efficiencies and cost savings of a `paperless office' a step closer,'' said Ronda Closner, Chief Marketing Officer. "DocsOnline dramatically reduces the time spent searching for documents and improves customer service.''
