Canadian publisher expanding Goss Community SSC press

Friday, September 19, 2008

Press release from the issuing company

September 18th 2008 – Canadian printing company Weller Publishing is currently adding a four-high tower to its Goss Community SSC press to provide customers with more color pages and greater flexibility in color pagination.

The Weller family started its business in 1963, publishing a weekly Hungarian newspaper for the Toronto community. "Today we have transformed into a full service color printing house for well over 100 different publications including dailies, weeklies and some seasonal publications," explains Les Weller, general manager. "We take pride in what we do and what our clients do. That is why we have always invested in the most reliable technology and filled our pressroom with only the best equipment."

The original Goss Community SSC press at the company's Etobicoke facility near Toronto was installed in 1980. Following several previous reconfigurations and with the new tower addition, the press will consist of six mono-units, two two-color towers, a three-color tower and three four-high towers along with two SSC folders.

"I am very pleased that some of our printing units, which are more than 20 years old still print like day one," explains Weller. "There is no doubt that Goss presses are the most solid and reliable in the market. Most of our clients are in the newspaper business, in which on-time delivery is as important as color and print quality. We rely on our press equipment to fulfill our promises and grow our business. We have never had a press breakdown which has resulted in missed deadlines, nor has our quality suffered due to press problems. Goss presses are not always the lowest in cost, but they are definitely the highest in value."

Don Pallotto, Goss International sales director says his company is gratified to extend its business relationship and friendship with Weller Publishing. "This is a long-time Goss press user that continues to optimize the print quality, reliability and modular versatility advantages of the Community SSC press system," he explains.
