Ultimate Technographics & LINGONexColor Sign Dealer Agreement for Asia

Press release from the issuing company

Montreal, Canada, August 21st, 2001 - Ultimate Technographics, the renowned inventor of digital imposition, has reached an exclusive Master Dealer Agreement with LINGONexColor for the sales, distribution and support of Ultimate Technographics software products in Southeast Asia. LINGONexColor, a specialist in digital proofing solutions and experienced system integrator, will supply Ultimate's products and dispense technical support to end-users through direct sales and channel distribution in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Brunei, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar. Following a week-long visit to Ultimate’s head office in Montreal by Tony Leng, General Manager of LINGONexColor in early July, a special four-day dealer training program was given by Ultimate in Bangkok, Thailand, from July 17th through the 20th. In attendance were representatives of LINGONexColor, local sub-dealers, including IPP Thai, the prepress division of Man Roland in Thailand, SPV, a Macintosh system integrator from Bangkok, and AsiaWeb Technologies from Singapore and Taiwan. All participants received Ultimate's certification for sales, integration and support of Ultimate's Impostrip, Trapeze, UltimateFlow, and On-Q Server workflow solutions. "The Southeast Asia printing and prepress industry is facing escalating pressure to increase productivity and reduce production cycles without exceeding operational budgets. Our market research shows that our products are ideally suited for this market, both from a feature and pricing point of view. We are confident that LINGONexColor is the right partner to develop and carry our brand name in this very diversified market", says Pierre Ferland, Director of Sales and Channel Development at Ultimate. "Print buyers routinely expect improvements with reduced costs", says Tony Leng, General Manager at LINGONexColor. "Ultimate's solutions offer a unique price/performance ratio that is particularly relevant to this market. We have sold our first On-Q Server just days after the training session in Bangkok, and we are observing a high level of interest from our customer base. In a market where expensive proprietary systems are often difficult to cost-justify, we see a bright future for Ultimate’s powerful but affordable product line."
