Landmark Publishing Selects Firm for eBusiness Software/Managed Operations

Press release from the issuing company

ATLANTA & BEDFORD, N.H.---Aug. 28, 2001--Landmark Publishing, the leading source of college and university campus images in the U.S., is supporting the rapid growth of its business with new financial accounting and electronic-commerce software -- delivered as a service over a network. Landmark recently selected Macdonald Consulting Group (MCG) of Atlanta, a full-service consulting firm specializing in business management software, to provide Microsoft Great Plains "Dynamics'' accounting and "eSell'' applications, as well as implementation, training, and system integration services. ManagedOps, a MCG partner, will provide its Managed Operations outsourcing service to host and deliver the applications from its Bedford, N.H. data center. Brent Brown, president of Landmark, said the company's steady growth since its founding three years ago has created the need for a more functionally rich financial management system, one that could be integrated with its online electronic commerce site. Instead of taking on the cost and time of adding new computer systems and technical skills to run the new software, Landmark chose to outsource the operations. "Macdonald Consulting Group is fulfilling our requirements for a complete system that integrates our online sales and back-office accounting systems. By outsourcing the technology infrastructure and technical support to ManagedOps, we're able to more effectively focus our resources on developing stronger relationships with our authorized dealers and the consumer,'' Brown said. The Managed Operations service includes secure, reliable, around-the-clock systems engineering, network management, and help-desk support. ManagedOps delivers the applications over a network for a cost-efficient and predictable monthly fee. Landmark will use several Dynamics modules, including: System Manager, Integration Manager, General Ledger, Receivables Management, Payables Management, Bank Reconciliation, Inventory Control, Invoicing, Purchase Order Processing, and Sales Order Processing. Using eSell, Landmark will have a complete Web store-front with current products and accurate pricing available to its dealers. Orders will be entered instantly throughout the sales, distribution and financial functions, so Landmark will be able to ship product efficiently, track when it's time to order more product, and manage dealer accounts. About Landmark Publishing Landmark Publishing Corporation was created in 1998 to provide alumni across the country with artistic renderings of their alma mater campuses. By securing relationships with an ever-growing number of schools, Landmark quickly established itself as the leading source for campus images from the southern states to the west coast. Landmark boasts over 275 pieces of original artwork and is continually adding new colleges and universities to the selection. Landmark's corporate office is located in Atlanta, GA. www.landmarkpublishing.com
