VIDAR Partners with MacDermid ColorSpan to Target Scan-to-Print Market

Press release from the issuing company

(Herndon, Virginia, USA) - VIDAR Systems Corporation, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of wide-format scanning solutions, and MacDermid ColorSpan, Inc., a leader in wide-format digital color printing, today announced VIDAR CopySystems support for ColorSpan’s line of DisplayMaker wide-format digital color printers. CopySystems™ solutions are hardware-software bundles used for copying documents up to 54” (137.2cm), including full color photographs or posters, monochrome or red-lined blueprints, for the GIS, reprographic, engineering and graphic arts markets. CopySystems combines VIDAR’s TruScan wide-format scanners and scan-to-print copy software from VIDAR’s technology partner SCP, and is available through VIDAR’s distribution channel. It is one of the most endorsed scan-to-print solutions available due to its additional capabilities such as a color calibration wizard, additional supported file formats and new hardware support. Rinnie DiCenzo, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for MacDermid ColorSpan, Inc., stated, “This announcement creates opportunities for new users of CopySystems scan-to-print solutions to benefit from the high speed, high resolution and profitability that our printers offer, and for existing print-for-pay users of DisplayMaker printers to expand into the scan-to-print market, generating an additional revenue source while differentiating themselves from their competition.”
