Visual Systems Wins Industry Awards, Including PIA Premier Print Award

MILWAUKEE – Visual Systems, Inc. (VSI), a manufacturer of overhead transparencies and ancillary products for educational and supplemental textbooks, has won a gold and bronze Gold Ink Award, co-sponsored by PrintMedia and Printing Impressions magazines. VSI also received accolades from the Premier Print Award competition, sponsored by Printing Industries of America, Inc. VSI’s "Write Time for Kids," an on-demand overhead transparency product, was honored with a gold Gold Ink Award in the direct-to-press digital imaging category. A bronze Gold Ink Award was awarded in the book cover category for the company’s "Adventures for Readers: Book Two" entry. VSI was also awarded a certificate of merit from the Premier Printing Award competition for its "Write Time for Kids," as well as its "Transparency Tools Sampler," a promotional piece developed by Barrett Kendall Publishing, Austin, Texas to promote their upcoming English program. The prestigious Gold Ink Awards were created to recognize exceptional work in the printing industry. This year’s Gold Ink Award winners, which will be honored during a banquet September 10 in Chicago, were chosen from more than 1,500 entries submitted within 37 different categories. The Premier Print Awards is the graphic arts industry’s largest worldwide printing competition that recognizes companies for their creation and production of print communications. This year’s competition received more than 5,500 entries from printing and graphic arts firms from around the world.
