FAIRFAX, VA– Answering the demand for "truth not trends," a series of expert panels will be a daily highlight at DPI’02: Control Your Future, the tenth Annual Conference & Exhibit of the Digital Printing & Imaging Association (DPI), scheduled for March 6-9, 2002, at the Palm Springs Convention Center, in Palm Springs, California, USA. "Our members want to glean practical information they can use to streamline the operations and maximize their profits," says DPI Managing Director John S. Shaw. "They, like everybody else, have had a large amount of industry hype. At DPI’02 we will deliver the focused, specific expertise they want." Each expert panel will seat leading experts in one phase of digital graphics technology. The first panel will bring together leading experts from the digital output equipment field (inkjet – both piezo and thermal – electrostatic, photo-printing and spray jet technology). The second panel will bring together a similar gathering of experts in the area of consumable supplies – both media, and inks and toners. The third panel will assemble leading consultants in the business side of the industry, putting forecasting and industry impact into understandable terms. "Our job is to bring the experts to the table," notes Shaw. "What participants will take away are the steps and processes they will need to control their future." DPI ’02 will feature roughly 40-50 seminars covering a wide range of topics related to the growth and use of innovative digital graphics technologies in core subject areas of technology, business and vendor presentations. The DPI ’02 trade show will be the largest exhibit ever mounted specifically for the large-format digital imaging and output industry. The Palm Springs show will feature more than 225 exhibit booths displaying the newest technology for output equipment and the latest developments in consumable supplies.
