SAN FRANCISCO, Aug. 14 Macromedia, Inc. today announced the immediate availability of Macromedia Sitespring(TM), a new Web-based application for managing the Web site production process. Macromedia Sitespring enables professional Web teams to be more productive and more profitable in the creation of Web sites by reducing cycle time, eliminating file rework, and decreasing time spent on non-business focused activities. Sitespring users will also be able to see their project tasks from within Macromedia Dreamweaver and Dreamweaver UltraDev through a new product extension. Sitespring is available immediately from the Macromedia Online Store ( http://www.macromedia.com/go/buy_sitespring ). Macromedia Sitespring offers an integrated, server-based approach to team collaboration, file management, and client communications. "Macromedia Sitespring brings additional depth to the Macromedia product family by managing and simplifying the actual process of getting Web projects completed on schedule,'' said Erik Larson, product manager, Macromedia. "Thousands of people downloaded the Sitespring public beta, and the response has been very enthusiastic. This product is poised to set the standard for cost-effective production management and accelerate the trend toward increased Web team efficiency and profitability.'' "With Sitespring, Macromedia has created a wonderful product that addresses the needs of corporate Web groups like ourselves to a tee,'' said Anna Ferry, Internet Production Manager, Telelogic Worldwide. "We have such a busy group that the tasks and notifications are a fantastic way to make sure small jobs don't get missed. And the project sites are something that most smaller agencies could never achieve on their own but that each would love to have. Sitespring is the only product that I have seen that directly solves the problems specific to Web groups.'' A new Sitespring Tasks Panel Extension for Dreamweaver and Dreamweaver UltraDev enables users to be more efficient by letting them view all of their Sitespring tasks within their familiar Web authoring and development software. Users will be able to select a task in Dreamweaver and go directly to Sitespring to change its details or status, simplifying their workflow and giving them control over their personal workspace. The extension is available from Macromedia Exchange at http://www.macromedia.com/exchange/ . As an additional resource to Web professionals, Macromedia has created an online resource site detailing best practice techniques for efficiently and consistently delivering excellent user experiences. This information was garnered from hundreds of interviews with seasoned Web professionals. To access the site, visit http://www.macromedia.com/resources/techniques/ .
