IKON Awarded Five-Year Contract from Marriott International

VALLEY FORGE, Pa., July 26 IKON Office Solutions announced today that it has been awarded a five-year contract with Marriott International Administrative Services, Inc. to provide an integrated business communications solution. The contract exemplifies IKON's go-to-market strategy to deliver integrated solutions to meet its customers' wide-ranging business communications needs. IKON will provide a solution comprised of a blend of copier/printer equipment, on-site and off-site outsourcing services, and Web-based document repository and order management services using IKON's Digital Express®. As part of its on-site services, IKON will staff and manage Marriott International's corporate copy center, which will handle high-volume printing applications required by headquarters personnel. The copy center will include an array of digital, high-volume copier/printer equipment to support specific needs. IKON will also supply and manage convenience copier/printer devices for digital, high-volume use by corporate workgroups. Through Digital Express, employees at Marriott International's more than 2,400 business units worldwide will be able to order documents from a customized electronic catalog for printing on demand through IKON's off-site digital print production capability, which provides high-speed black & white and color print production and a range of finishing, binding, kitting and fulfillment services. In addition, employees at Marriott International's Washington, D.C. headquarters will be able to store, manage, revise and collaborate on documents online. This international, Web-based, print-on- demand model is designed to provide users with access to the most current version of important documents, reduce inventory and print costs and ensure consistent document quality worldwide. IKON will also provide systems support for the solution, including application development, system installation, integration and training services.
