Lanier Announces New Digital/Copier/Printer/Fax System

ATLANTA, GA, USA [July 23, 2001] --- Lanier Worldwide today announced the immediate availability of the Lanier 5515/5518 digital Copier Printer Fax Systems. These digital solutions are designed to replace obsolete analog copiers and laser printers with one fast, powerful solution. The most compact system ever offered by Lanier, the 5515/5518 is sized for desktop usage in offices with limited space. "The 5515/5518 is an ideal choice for workgroups who want to improve their image quality. As a network-connected digital solution, the 5515/5518 allows users to produce crisp, clean copies from originals in electronic or hard copy format," said Dominic Pontrelli, Vice President Marketing for Lanier. The 5515/5518 also increases office productivity via a dual component supply system that enables increased output." As a digital copier, the 5515/5518 delivers 15 and 18 pages per minute, respectively, with 600 dpi image quality. As a network printer, the 5515/5518 offers drivers for all PC and MacIntosh platforms. The optional network printer module allows the 5515/5518 to be connected to a LAN while the optional Network Interface Card provides easy connectivity to networked systems. As a fax system, the 5515/5518 systems include 33.6 Kbps modems for lower transmission costs and 1.2 second-per-page scanning speed for increased productivity. The broadcast fax transmission feature allows users to transmit a fax to a large audience at the touch of a button.
