First Heidelberg Primescan D8400 Supplied

Press release from the issuing company

Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) has just supplied the first Primescan D 8400 series drum scanner from its factory in Kiel. This scanner was launched at Drupa and features a fully automatic changer with up to 4-drum capacity. This considerably increases productivity for scans and redigitization. The drums are clearly numbered and automatic drum recognition ensures that jobs are reliably processed on all rollers. The multifunctional Primescan D 8400 is ideal for professional use in printshops, repro companies, service bureaus, publishing houses, picture agencies and newspapers. Version 2 of the Newcolor 7000 scanner software with improved color corrections and masking functions has been available since the beginning of June and, together with Newcopix 7000 for redigitization work, supports use of the scanner in these applications.
