ForestExpress Appoints Barry Nelson to Vice President of their Paper Vertical

(7/16/01) ForestExpress has officially appointed Barry Nelson to serve as vice president of the paper vertical for ForestExpress, a transaction and processing network for the forest products industry. Presently, Nelson is responsible for the development and implementation of the strategic direction of the paper vertical. He will also work with his team to build visibility for ForestExpress and provide senior counsel on e-commerce implementation throughout the paper industry. Prior to joining ForestExpress, Nelson served as vice president of the Paper Division at the Mead Corporation where he was responsible for the division's customer service, planning and scheduling and field technical sales organizations. He also was involved in the development and launch of an e-service initiative for the division's Web page and was the Process Owner for the implementation of SAP software for customer service, planning and scheduling processes. Nelson brings more than 15 years of experience in the paper industry to ForestExpress. He has also held a number of varying sales and sales management positions in both the Fine Paper and Publishing Paper Divisions including key account management, National Sales manager and Director of Sales - Merchant roles.
