CAP Ventures European Conference to Focus on the Digital Document Marketplace

Press release from the issuing company

(Norwell, MA) 11 July 2001 – CAP Ventures’ third annual European conference will examine how the role of paper and electronic documents will evolve over the next 10 years, and what companies need to do to grasp the opportunities of the digital document marketplace. This event will be held on 17-19 October at the Hotel Okura, Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It will highlight the theme ‘Making the Right Moves in the Digital Document Marketplace.’  Conference sessions will include speakers from CAP Ventures as well as notable digital hardware, solutions and supplies providers, OEM and channel companies, as well as established global IT, software and messaging players. Each will provide insights into the document marketplace. This themed conference is designed to inform, stimulate and even provoke delegates into exploiting the opportunities the digital world offers.  This year’s keynote speaker is Professor Richard Harper, Director of the World Digital Research Centre at the UK’s University of Surrey. He specialises in Socio-Digital Systems and explores the relationships between people, society, and digital technologies. As part of CAP Ventures’ Industry Challenge during the conference, a panel of experts from the digital peripherals and supplies industry will debate total cost of ownership, the subject of a recent publication from CAP Ventures. This year’s event presents the second CAP Ventures-hosted “World Internet Messaging Symposium,” a one-day programme exploring the latest technological developments affecting the ways in which businesses communicate. Under the spotlight will be the impact of fax, voice and e-mail traffic on hard copy output. Microsoft will provide the keynote for the Symposium, offering insight into the road map to delivering seamless messaging applications. “This year’s event is sponsored by Canon, EFI, and EEMA – The European Forum for Electronic Business. It will be filled with insights from all aspects of the digital document world, from hardware to supplies, from software to solutions, services and messaging,” comments Charles A. Pesko Jr., Managing Director of CAP Ventures Ltd. “No serious industry player can afford to miss the opportunity to network and learn from like-minded professionals.” Registration information This year’s event will be held 17-19 October at the Hotel Okura in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.
