TechBooks Names Former Noosh and Donnelley Reps to Top Sales Posts

Fairfax, VA, July 12, 2001 - TechBooks, a leading provider of XML publishing solutions that allow companies to distribute content electronically over the Internet and in print, has named two industry veterans to expand sales to educational and professional publishers on the East Coast. TechBooks President and CEO Tom Cunningham has appointed: * Suzanne Serway, senior vice president, East Coast Operations, for TechBooks' professional publishing sales organization based in Fairfax, VA. The group serves scientific, technical, medical, legal, business and professional publishers. * Matt Roberts, senior vice president, East Coast Operations, for TechBooks' educational publishing sales organization based in York, PA. The group serves elementary school, high school and higher education publishers. "TechBooks already does a tremendous amount of work for educational publishers and professional publishers," says Cunningham. "Suzanne and Matt have been traveling extensively to get the word out about our special capabilities for handling large cross-media publishing projects quickly and cost-effectively. We have developed XMLPublish(sm), a workflow process that tags authors' content with XML on the front-end so we can produce content simultaneously in digital and print formats. Plus we have a workforce of more than 2,000 professionals worldwide, which allows us to manage even the largest projects." Serway joined the TechBooks team following a 10-year career with the book publishing services division of RR Donnelley & Sons Company, an industry leader in providing book manufacturing and related services to the publishing industry. Her career advanced through a variety of positions at Donnelley including senior sales representative for the West Coast and Mid-Atlantic, manager of customer service and production control in Harrisonburg, VA, and vice president of sales in New York City. Serway, a native of Indianapolis, IN, is a 1990 graduate of Indiana University's School of Business, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in finance. Before joining TechBooks, Roberts was an account manager with Noosh, Inc., an Internet start-up company headquartered in Palo Alto, CA, that focused on providing Web-based collaboration solutions to Fortune 500 corporations. Prior to Noosh, Roberts served as a vice president of sales with World Color Corporation and, following the acquisition of World Color by Quebecor Corporation in 1999, was promoted to senior vice president of sales and marketing for Quebecor World, Inc. A native of Allentown, PA, Roberts holds an master of business administration degree from Lehigh University and a bachelor's degree in economics and business from Lafayette College.
