The QuarkDMS Media Portal gives everyone within an organization online access to valuable digital media. It provides a Web site for content consumers to find, view, and retrieve media files using popular Web browsers. With QuarkDMS Media Portal, anyone within an organization can quickly and easily find the information they need to do their job. Upon installation with an existing QuarkDMS system, the company immediately gains an intranet site that can be used to access files from the digital media system. Users can browse for files by category, or search across all media by name, file content, or custom-defined fields. Files that are accessed frequently can be stored in a "media basket," which functions like an online shopping cart. Additional media baskets can be created for special projects, and media baskets can be shared between users.
