ColorVision Distributes New Video on Digital Color Control to Customers

Press release from the issuing company

Rochester, NY (July 6, 2001) ColorVision, Inc. announced today its new video entitled " Solutions for Digital Color Control - An Introduction and Product Tutorial", is being distributed to ColorVision's growing network of resellers and placed on ColorVision's web site, www.colorcal.com. The CD provides a brief (under 10 minute) introduction to digital color control, as well as an overview of ColorVision's award winning Monitor Spyder and Profiler software. As the sales of affordable multi-megapixel cameras accelerate, photographers of all sorts are now discovering the need for color management. These users, and the photo equipment resellers that serve them, are seeking easy, affordable, and accurate solutions. "The most frequently asked question is I hear is 'how do I get my prints to match what I see on my monitor?'" said Brian Levey, Vice President at ColorVision. "In our new video, we answer that question in a QuickTime movie." The video provides step-by-step instructions on how to use the Monitor Spyder with PhotoCal for monitor calibration and Profiler RGB for printer profiling of different papers on both Mac and PC platforms. Equipment and software supplied by Nikon, Adobe, Epson, ColorThink, and Wacom were used to illustrate the entire process flow. "While these tutorials do not replace the manuals we supply or our technical support line," Levey continues, "they are a great quick start. Let's face it, I only know about three people that actually read manuals anymore."
