Norwalk, CT, USA – Kevin Clifford, Trade Relations/Print Media Manager, Kodak Polychrome Graphics, has received Clemson University’s Graphic Communications Department’s "Top Cat Award" for providing continuing support to the school’s graphic communications program. "Supporting quality programs such as the one at Clemson is important to the long-term health of our industry," says Clifford. "The printing industry is looking for students who are trained with state-of-the-art materials. When we provide them with those materials, we are not only giving something back, we’re also investing in our future." "In large part, our graphic communications program has grown to 450 students directly because of the corporate support we’ve received," says John Leininger, Clemson professor of graphics communication. "We are a very hands-on school and without support from people like Kevin Clifford at Kodak Polychrome Graphics and others, we could not graduate the high-quality people we do." Clemson students regularly utilize Kodak Polychrome Graphics’ donated imagesetter film and plate products in the college’s courses and laboratories. Clemson’s Graphic Communications Department is recognized as one of the best in the nation and has offered students a Bachelor of Science degree in Graphic Communications since 1982. Its curriculum was developed with the guidance and support of companies within the industry. Kodak Polychrome Graphics has supported Clemson since 1986 with annual donations of film and plate products. Kodak Polychrome Graphics is one of the strongest supporters of graphic communications education at schools throughout North America.
