June 28, 2001 - The Heidelberg Digital Imaging Association (HDIA) announced that it has elected a new executive board to represent the industry's largest user group. Elections were held at the recent HDIA DIRECTIONS 2001 Annual Meeting. The newly elected officers are: * HDIA President: Rick Dyer, President & Co-Owner, Spire, Inc. Boston, MA * HDIA Vice President: Craig Beedy, Vice President, Technology, Sells Printing, New Berlin, WI * HDIA Secretary: John K. deLoach III, Owner & President, Crowson Stone Printing, Columbia, SC * HDIA Treasurer: John Gagliano, Executive Vice President, ASG Sherman Graphics, Chicago, IL In addition, the following special board positions were filled: * HDIA Technology Director - Jeff Broomfield, Operations Manager, Advance Printing, Paris, Ontario * HDIA Canadian Director - Alain Trahan, Director, Prepress Technologies, Transcontinental Printing, St-Laurent, Québec Commenting on his election to HDIA President, Dyer said, "I'm honored to be elected to this prestigious and challenging position.
