Wednesday, September 17, 2008

Press release from the issuing company

(September 16, 2008) Duomedia Public Relations is pleased to announce that Stefan Vermaercke joined the team as of September 1, 2008 to support Duomedia's growth. He will assume the position of PR Director, developing the PR training and consulting services, supporting client relations and content management, and managing business development.
"We have worked together for quite a few years on several projects as well as on the PR training we set up with Stefan last year. The successful cooperation has lead to an important next step whereby he now joins the Duomedia management team." states Anja D'Hondt, Managing Partner at Duomedia.
Stefan built up a solid industry experience as sales and marketing manager for Screen, freelance journalist for Publish & Print and Sign Pro, and as Consultant for the VIGC (Flemish Innovation Center for Graphic Communication) where he advised printers on their business and communication strategies.
"Duomedia is really the perfect fit and I look forward to work in this great team and further contribute to the growth of the company." comments Stefan Vermaercke. "The PR training has sharpened my appetite for PR. I am convinced it can help companies gain visibility and market confidence, if done in a professional way and combined with a dynamic marketing strategy. Duomedia has all the tools and expertise in house, as well as local PR consultants across Europe, so for me this is a perfect environment to apply and further develop my skills."
Develop PR training and consulting services
One of Stefan's first projects at Duomedia will be to further develop the PR training and consulting services. Stefan will set up a special training program for company spokes people and management, focusing on the more strategic part and advising them how to successfully manage press conferences, press interviews, etc. The training will also be offered in a customized format directed at sales & marketing teams but also distributors who manage PR and marketing for the vendors in their country.
"We are very pleased Stefan has joined our team and welcome his industry expertise and technology know-how. His journalist perspective will be a great added value to us and our clients in defining even better angles and creating suitable press materials." concludes Anja D'Hondt.
