RICHMOND, Va., June 22 -- Cadmus Communications Corporation today announced that Thomas C. Norris, age 63, has been elected Chairman of the Board effective July 1, 2001. Norris succeeds Russell M. Robinson II, who remains a Director. Norris brings vast operational experience and can devote the necessary time to fulfill the obligations of the position. He retired in May 2000 as Chairman of P.H. Glatfelter Company, a multi-national manufacturer of engineered and specialized printing papers. He was elected President and Chief Executive Officer of that company in 1980 and assumed the additional responsibilities as Chairman in 1988. Norris is past Chairman of the National Council for Air and Stream Improvement, Inc. and is past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Institute for Paper Science and Technology. He also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the American Paper Institute, which is now known as American Forest and Paper Association, trade association of the forest products, pulp, and paper industries. Norris was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Laws from Gettysburg College, his Alma Mater, and an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from York College of Pennsylvania. Russell Robinson who is the senior partner in the Charlotte based Law firm Robinson, Bradshaw & Hinson, has served as Chairman of the Board for an agreed term of one year since July 2000. He will continue as a Board member.
