Canon Document Imaging Systems Business Expands to San Francisco

GARDENA, Calif.-- August 1, 2001--Canon Business Solutions-West, Inc., a subsidiary of Canon U.S.A., Inc. and a regional leader in document imaging systems, today announced expansion to San Francisco. The new office, located at 890 Dubuque Avenue, South San Francisco, will serve customers throughout the San Francisco metropolitan area. Canon U.S.A., Inc. is a subsidiary of Canon, Inc. Thomas Figlio has been appointed Canon's general manager for the San Francisco region to oversee the development of new business. He has more than 20 years of management experience in the office equipment, network printing, digital and internet printing industries, and he has established and led multiple sales organizations within the San Francisco market during his career. "We are establishing a team of sales, service, and systems support professionals in the Bay Area to make Canon's expansion a successful one,'' said Mr. Figlio. "We will grow to be the number one provider of document solutions to this dynamic market.'' To celebrate the company's new office, Canon Business Solutions-West will sponsor the San Francisco Grand Prix of Cycling race on Sunday, September 9. Lance Armstrong, the winner of three consecutive Tours de France, will lead a field of the world's best cyclists at the inaugural San Francisco Grand Prix. Event officials expect top-level teams from France, Italy, Belgium and Holland to join premier American teams. The race will be televised live on KGO-TV (ABC-Channel 7) in San Francisco. The opening of the San Francisco office is part of the national expansion of Canon Business Solutions, which has four primary locations. Canon Business Solutions-West, Inc., is based in Gardena, California. In addition to the new San Francisco office, it has offices throughout Southern California in Calabasas, Costa Mesa, Rancho Cucamonga, Gardena and Los Angeles. It provides clients with digital network printing, color and black and white copying, duplicating, faxing and large format printing along with business services consultation and genuine Canon supplies. The other locations: Canon Business Solutions-Northeast, Inc. is based in New York and has offices throughout the New York metropolitan area, Detroit and Pittsburgh. Canon Business Solutions-Central, Inc. is based in Chicago, with offices throughout the area, Denver and Houston. Canon Business Solutions-Southeast, Inc., based in Burlington, New Jersey, has offices in Philadelphia and Horsham in Pennsylvania, in Wilmington, Delaware, in the Washington, D.C. area, Baltimore and Atlanta.
