Press release from the issuing company

SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 11, 2001 MightyWords, the Internet's premier seller and distributor of unique digital content, and Bitpipe Inc. today announced that more than 2,500 of MightyWords' technical, computing and business titles will be available to more than 21.7 million customers of Bitpipe Inc.'s Bitpipe Network, a collection of top information technology (IT) and business Web sites. The New York Times Pocket MBA Series is a 12-volume reference series that addresses specific principles of business expertise, including volumes on analyzing financial statements, sales and marketing, organizing a business, forecasting budgets, leadership and vision and business planning. The series was written by professors from graduate business programs nationwide and edited by Business Day editors of The New York Times. Each volume is now available for download and print via The Mighty Network. Now MightyWords' downloadable, printable titles will be available from www.bitpipe.com and more than 30 Bitpipe partner sites including Cahner's e-inSITE Technical Paper Library, CNET's Enterprise Research Library, TechRepublic's Research Index and ZDNet's Research Center. MightyWords titles will also be available via the Bitpipe Cyberlibrary, a library of in-depth IT vendor and analyst content containing more than 12,000 documents including white papers, case studies and other technical material. "MightyWords is a leader in the category of 10-100 page downloadable and printable tech and business titles," said Jay Habegger, chief executive officer and co-founder of Bitpipe Inc. "This type of material is perfect for typical Bitpipe Network consumers, who are information technology professionals who need current, cutting-edge information which they may immediately access and print to solve a problem or get a task completed." Chris MacAskill, chief executive officer of MightyWords, said, "Bitpipe has assembled an impressive network of distribution partners who share our broad computing and technology audiences. MightyWords specializes in offering an immediate, digital alternative to the standard order-and-ship distribution model, and our content and delivery mechanisms are ideal for the Bitpipe Network customer." Bitpipe Inc. is a leading syndicator of in-depth IT content. The company distributes content from more than 2,000 leading IT vendors and more than 50 top analyst firms including IDC, Meta Group and Yankee Group through exclusive agreements with CNET, COMDEX, Computerworld, IT World, TechRepublic, ZDNet and 30 other leading IT and business-related Web sites. Bitpipe also provides aggregated IT content, a proprietary search engine and an opt-in email service for portals to incorporate into their own Web sites. Today's announcement shows continuing momentum for The Mighty Network, MightyWords' vision to create and aggregate unique content that is unavailable via traditional publishing, and distribute it through a network of distribution partners including Accounting Institute Seminars, Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble.com, Bitpipe.com and the Bitpipe Network, Desaware.com, Fatbrain, internet.com, NovaPress and WirelessAdvisor.com. MightyWords and The Mighty Network partners distribute eMatter, a term coined by MightyWords to describe mid-length, must-have, need-to-know business, computing, market research and professional information. Typical eMatter is between 10 and 100 pages, and is longer than a magazine article but shorter than a book.
