RICHMOND, Va., June 7 Cadmus Communications Corporation (Nasdaq: CDMS - news; "Cadmus'') today announced that Frank Daniels, III, was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Raleigh, North Carolina-based Vital Source Technologies, Inc. ("VSTi''), a privately-held developer of content- distribution solutions primarily for the health sciences higher education market. Since Daniels' appointment, Cadmus and VSTi have been exploring ways to combine Cadmus' world-leading content management capabilities with VSTi's suite of education-oriented products to deliver publishers' health sciences content efficiently and securely to new markets and new users. The companies have recently made several joint marketing proposals and have several additional projects and proposals under development. Cadmus further announced that as a result of his new responsibilities and the increased pace of collaborative and co-marketing opportunities, Daniels has resigned from the Cadmus board of directors in accordance with established company policies to avoid potential conflicts of interest. Daniels has served as a director of Cadmus since 1994. A replacement has not yet been named.
