Susan Hurt to Lead Rexam Image New Digital Imaging Market Unit

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass., June 4, 2001 - Rexam Image Products, a worldwide leader in the manufacture of coated paper, film and specialty substrates for imaging, manufacturing, electronics, medical and decorative markets, today announced the appointment of Susan Hurt as vice president and general manager of the newly organized, worldwide digital imaging market unit. In her new position, Hurt will lead a unit that was created by combining the former display and desktop market units of Rexam Image Products. This change gives Hurt overall global responsibility for strategic business planning, product development and management, and marketing and sales of the units' wide-format and desktop color digital imaging media. In making the announcement, Rexam Image Products' president Robert Champigny stated, "Susan has made enormous contributions to Rexam Image Products' success over the past decade. She has been instrumental in helping Rexam identify new opportunities in the marketplace and leading the company through a period of significant change and growth. I am looking forward to having Susan now bring her considerable strategic vision, focus and superb management skills to her new responsibilities of overseeing our global digital imaging business." Since joining Rexam Image Products in 1989, Hurt has served as business and marketing director for the display media group, where she established the company's global strategy for the wide-format electrostatic and ink jet product lines and directed the implementation of branded marketing efforts. Most recently, she served as vice president of marketing for the company, responsible for establishing worldwide business goals, identifying new business growth opportunities, and supervising marketing activities. Before Rexam Image Products, Hurt was in consumer product management at General Mills, Inc., where she launched new products and marketing programs for the wholesome snacks, desserts and cereal divisions. Ms. Hurt holds a B.S. in biology from The College of William and Mary, and an MBA from the Darden Graduate Management School at the University of Virginia.
