FujiFilm Appoints Prendergast to VP of Digital Imaging Strategies

ELMSFORD, NY, May 17, 2001 – Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc. has announced the appointment of John Prendergast to the newly created position of Vice President, Digital Imaging Strategies. Prendergast will report directly to Stanley E. Freimuth, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Fuji Photo Film U.S.A., Inc. As Vice President of Digital Imaging Strategies, Prendergast will be responsible for the strategic planning of Fujifilm’s Photo Imaging business in the areas of software and systems integration and digital technologies. In this role, Prendergast will also partner with end users and Fujifilm’s sister companies, Fujicolor Processing and Fujifilm e-Systems, to determine and apply effective information systems and technical approaches to the company’s digital imaging products and services. Prior to joining Fujifilm, Prendergast held various project management positions with Crompton Corporation, including Global Systems Process Director, where he was responsible for worldwide manufacturing and related business information systems. Prendergast graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Science degree in mathematics and computer science from Manhattan College.
